What Genevieve's Helping Hands Cookbook Program is About

When Genevieve found that she had cancer she looked for resources that would provide recipes that would add the nutrients she needed to help fight the disease. She found "Cancer Fighting Kitchen - Nourishing Big Flavor Recipes for Cancer Treatment and Recovery" by Rebecca Katz. Genevieve' found this recipe book very helpful. She took the book to the grocery store and used the pictures to identify vegetables she had never eaten before! Rebecca’s explanation of the value of each vegetable and spices helped us create a menu that helped fight Genevieve’s cancer and appealed to Genevieve’s tastes and that of her family.

Genevieve's Helping Hands provides a copy of this cookbook to every Grant Recipient and recommends it for themselves or as a gift to friends. All copies we send have a bookplate signed by Rebecca Katz, the author. If you choose you may purchase a cookbook for one of our Grant Recipients, we will mail it for you! You may contact Genevieve's Helping Hands to receive some information about the recipient and compose your own dedication which will be written on a facing Dedication Plate. The dedication may simply read "From a Friend of Genevieve's Helping Hands" or "From your name a friend of Genevieve's Helping Hands".

If you are purchasing a cookbook for a friend or for yourself the Dedication Plate will be blank and may be filled in by yourself.

Please contact Genevieve's Helping Hand at mail@genshelpinhands.org or text to 1-516-656-7376 to provide a dedication to a Grant Recipient or your address if you would like a book to be sent directly to you.
